Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
As the Manufacturing Maintenance Millwright, you will be a critical team member of our Edmonton based manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the reliability of the manufacturing processes to ensure our standards of safety, quality, delivery and cost are met. You will play a major role in the success of our day-to-day manufacturing operations. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision, and values, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Managing the Preventive Maintenance program, including continually optimizing the PM program, training operating staff, and performing checks & inspections
- Working closely with the operating staff to troubleshoot process issues
- Performing equipment repairs
- Coordinating contractor services
- Managing repair and maintenance costs
- Installing and modifying manufacturing equipment
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety and quality
- Ensuring all required paperwork is completed thoroughly, accurately, and on time
- Complying with all industry, regulatory, and company standards, regulations, and policies
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright
- 2-5 years of experience within a manufacturing production environment
- Troubleshooting and repairing pumps, cooling towers, and water systems
- Experience with heat treating, including induction heaters
- Understanding of electrical systems and PLCs
- Rebuilding of gearboxes, roll cases, fans and drive systems, including alignments
- Ability to perform maintenance welds and undertake small fabrication projects
- Experience with flash butt
welders, shot peening, and continuous rod & PCP manufacturing would be considered an asset
